The Making of LB: Check-In 3 (Final)

Now to the final major phase of any renovation, carpentry.

This is always when the design on paper takes shape, especially since it sets the texture and takes up most space in the home.

Living, Dining, Dry Kitchen

Measurements for carpentry pieces had to be really accurate especially to slow into pre-built partition wall in the TV Console and work desk.

Sizes for kitchen appliance had to be taken into account too.

Wet Kitchen, Yard

A pocket door for Yard area enables us to maximise the width into the washing area, while keeping it sleek. Of course the main intention being to separate and contain smell or residue from cooking into the Yard.

Master Bedroom

Light and simples are installed to the right of the portion wall style hardboard. It's kept to a minimal as a display piece, since there are always a recess and future nightstand for belongings.

Wardrobe is also designed so fit in and cater to the difference in ceiling, where the middle part is dropped to cater for a larger ceiling cassette AC.

Kid's Room

Even though sometimes having a platform style sleeping arrangements limits the space in the room, but in this case, 3 single mattresses are placed side by side to open up more room in the other areas.

Platform design also enabled additional storage for toys and other belongings, alongside a full scale wardrobe.

Master Bath

Since the Master Bedroom has sufficient storage, the vanity in the Master Bath is opened up as opposed to the more standard closed storage. Shower screen and door is also paired in black frames to match the other fittings in the bathroom and other parts of the house.

Shared Bath

Shared bath carpentry is planned to match the light grey texture on the floor.
