Living in a spacious landed house in the suburb used to be the end goal especially in my parents' generation. Abundance of free space was the ultimate vision, which I don't deny is attractive.
But in the modern day, there are other qualities that are equality enviable when it comes to a home. Primximity to the city/ work place, amenities, and ironically smaller spaces (for less maintenance). In this latest feature, we will go over the planning and execution of the common area (Living, Dining, Dry Kitchen) of a condominium unit in Sentul, Kuala Lumpur that houses a family with 2 children and 2 furry friends.

I think a nice balance was struck between what is required and what needed to be compromised. There's even space left for future additions or upgrades! Below is how we did it.
Living in a more compact home doesn't have to mean sacrificing style or functionality. The boundaries or definition of luxury within a home means a lot more now than just big old empty space. It is on each of us to define what the boundaries are now, than to live within the shadow of how our parents define them.
